Hockey with Heart was out on the streets of Unionville collecting food donations the last few weekends. We had some help from the Unionville Minor Hockey league, and many members of the Unionville Men’s Hockey Club and their families also came out to support.

Bags and donation letters are first dropped off at homes and pick up is a few days later. Thank you to all of the generous families who have donated to this very worthy cause.

Donations are taken to the Markham Food Bank and Unionville Alliance Church where they are sorted and offered to those in need. The amount of donations each year is astounding when you see all of the bags collected. Once again, we have partnered with the Village Grocer who provide the bags to fill up as well as the trucks to collect the donations. You may have heard the trucks on your street with holiday music!

Another wonderful community partner is Markham Fire Services….we could not do it all without you! Such a great sight to see the Firefighters and volunteers from many branches of hockey all walking together for this great initiative. Thank you for making our Annual Food Drive a huge success.
